Team Hybrid prides itself as being not only the largest competition team in Hampton Roads, but also the largest FEMALE fight team in the Mid-Atlantic region. Spearheaded by pro female MMA fighter in Virgina and Student Administrator Stacy Grant, our “Fight Girls” have fought up and down the East Coast and as far as Las Vegas.
Our amateur team has been working hard with Team Hybrid boxing coach Pete Yates to improve their boxing skills for upcoming Muay Thai bouts. In his last fight as a Middleweight, Team Hybrid’s Kellen “The Sting” Ray fought an all out war against a game and tough opponent John Allen from Team ROC at EFC 4.
Now going down to the Welterweight division, Kellen looks to make an impression as he enters the cage again at EFC 6 on February 13th at the Siegel Center in Richmond Virginia. Come support our team mate as he makes his move towards the professional ranks of MMA.

Live Muay Thai and MMA action featuring three WKA Title matches – a World Title and two US Titles! This event is taking place in conjunction with the 2010 Hampton, Virginia Sports Festival & Expo. There will be a daytime BJJ/Submission Grappling tournament on Saturday as well as a variety of other sporting events and demonstrations at the Sports Festival. Tickets purchased online give you the only reserved seating available for CSC 29, which includes wait service for the concessions. These seats will not be sold at the door! Theses tickets also include admission to the rest of the festival events on that one day.
The Elite Fighting Challenge Comes to the Siegel Center in Richmond Virginia on February 13th. Our very own Kellen “The Sting” Ray will be competing in a mixed martial arts fight for the first time in the welterweight division, after having an impressive go at the middleweight class (3-1 record).

Local MMA prodigy Mackens Semerzier heads to the big show again as he faces Deividas Taurosevicius at WEC 46 on Jan. 10 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California. Mack “Da Menace” made his WEC debut against Wagney Fabiano, former IFL Champion, in October at WEC 43, submitting the BJJ Black Belt and shocking the MMA world.
Semerzier will be kicking off the fight card at WEC 46, which is headlined by the Lightweight title fight between current Champ Jamie Varner and interim champ Ben Henderson.
Linxx Academy trained Mackens Semerzier has worked diligently to step his fight game up to the next level. While enlisting the help of a strength and conditioning coach, he continues to cross train with our very own Team Hybrid Pro MMA squad in preparation for his WEC career.
