Muay Thai/ Hybrid Kickboxing (HKB)
Known as the “King of the Ring”, Muay Thai is the art of Kickboxing which originates from Thailand and is considered, by far the most effective form of Martial Art in the striking range. Muay Thai (also known as Thai Boxing) is Thailand’s national sport and is know for its boxing style punches, bone breaking kicks, and devastating knee and elbow strikes. Clinching (or neck wrestling also know as the Plumm) and kicking the legs is also an integral part of Thai Boxing, further separating it from arts such as American kickboxing and full contact karate, which do not allow grappling/ clinching techniques or kicking below the waist. These attributes, combined with a no-nonsense, realistic approach to training as well as superior conditioning methods validate Muay Thai as the ULTIMATE art for self defense, fitness, and ring-sport.
Kru Buck Grant, has devoted years of coaching and fighting experience to formulating the Hybrid Kickboxing System, a standardized approach to teaching Muay Thai inspired by Kru Buck’s instructor Grand Master Toddy.
