Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW)

CSW is a complete grappling system devised by 2 time light heavy weight Shooto Champion Erik Paulson. It utilizes the best standing, takedowns, tackles and throws from: Judo, Sambo, Greco, Collegiate and Freestyle Wrestling.

This is combined with a ground grappling system which consists of: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, Shooto, Pancrase and Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling. CSW utilizes the best techniques for position control, escapes, reversals, and submissions (joint locks, chokes, cranks, and finishing holds) from these grappling arts. This is a No-Gi class; however, practitioners wishing to use the kimono are more than welcomed to do so.

Current UFC Heavyweight Brock Lesner and former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk and Pride heavyweight Veteran Josh Barnett are among many MMA fighters who are disciples under the CSW system.
