Buck Grant
Owner/Head Instructor of Hybrid Academy/ Team Hybrid Head Coach
Mr. Buck Grant brings with him a diverse background in the martial arts.
As the only certified Ajarn (Master of Muay Thai from Thailand) in Hampton Roads, Ajarn Buck believes in being on the floor with his students. For him this is not just a business, but also an opportunity to share his knowledge and love of martial arts and physical fitness.

Scott Oates- Head Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Instructor
Owner/ Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor of Hybrid Training Center
Scott is an avid martial artist with over 10 years of experience. He is the 5th American Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under 6X World Champion Saulo Ribeiro. Scott has competed both on the National and International level and has won the bronze medal in The BJJ Worlds and numerous Gold Medals in Regional and State level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions. He also holds a Brown Belt in Judo.
