Getting started in CrossFit is as simple as 1…2…3!
Step #1: Intro to CrossFit / All Levels Class
1sttime trying CrossFit? Haven’t attended the Fundamentals course yet but just want to get in on a workout to see what crossfit is all about?? Our Intro classes are offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7pm, and Tuesday & Thursday at 12:00.. anyone can jump in on it, even experienced CrossFitters!
In order to attend the crossfit classes, you must attend at least 3 of these classes plus complete Fundamentals Level 1 & 2. This is to ensure quality training, proper understanding of the movements and cues, properly progressing your body into the intensity, and to get the most benefit out of your workouts in a safe & efficient manner.
Step #2: Fundamentals (Levels 1 &2) (* by appointment only!*)
In 2 separate sessions, Level 1 & Level 2 Fundamentals will teach you the basic movements that are the core of our program. These 2 sessions, typically an hour long, are a prerequisite to our crossFit classes to ensure that there is a solid basic understanding of the moves so all workouts can be performed safely & effectively. The Fundamentals classes are taught in small numbers, no larger than 5 people, to ensure each individual receives the appropriate attention by the trainer. We also offer one-one-one Fundamental sessions if you prefer direct attention, however these need to be scheduled separately with a trainer.
During these sessions the 9 Foundational Movements of crossfit are taught…
The Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Shoulder Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, and the Clean. Depending on time, additional movements may include.. Kettle-bell Swings, Rowing, Rope Climbing techniques, Handstands, Kipping pull-ups, Ring work and much, much more!
We will evaluate your athletic and physical fitness level and then scale each exercise and workout to your abilities. No one is ever too out of shape or in too good of shape for this class!
Step #3: CrossFit
Once you have completed at least 3 of the Beginners CrossFit/Basic Fundamentals classes and the Advanced Fundamentals Levels 1 & 2, or can demonstrate to us proper form and good technique of CrossFit’s foundational movements, you may join the CrossFit classes. The groups will typically be larger and focus on intensity as well as proper execution of movement. Because we run CrossFit classes 7 days a week, we can focus more on programming and perfecting Olympic and power weightlifting, gymnastics and improving metabolic condition.
Note: Fundamentals 1 and 2 must be completed prior to attending scheduled CrossFit Elite classes
OTHER OPTIONS:
CrossFit – Private Training (* by appointment only!*)
If groups just aren’t for you, private training provides focused individual guidance and coaching designed to meet your personal needs and objectives. Programs will be designed specifically to your goals and what you are trying to accomplish…ranging from sport specific programming, focused attention on Olympic/Power lifts, etc. This is the ultimate way to get started with CrossFit, to improve skills or work on weaknesses at any experience level. You’ll be pushed to levels you never thought you could reach, the results are worth it!
Group Training Sessions
Are you part of an athletic team that would like to have an edge on the competition? Do you run or work for a company that encourages team cohesion thru corporate fitness? Do you and your friends want to workout together on YOUR time at a very affordable rate? Then Group Training Sessions is the route for you! Small group training is the most cost effective way to get tailor made fitness for you and your friend’s specific needs. You and your group can share the cost of private sessions in a semi-private environment, while reaping the reward of comradery and team building in a small group session.
Test out of Fundamentals (* by appointment only!*)
Have a few months of CrossFitting under your belt? Are you transferring from another CrossFit gym and feel confident in your skills to start Elite Fitness? We offer a test-out option. During this hour-long session you will be asked to perform a variety of specific skills and you must be able to demonstrate them by using the proper form. The cost is $50.
